Glenn Vanderstoel was born in Canada but has lived in Germany, the United States, Cambodia, and the U.A.E. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Southeastern University and entered the field of Education 18 years ago. He has completed his Master’s Degree in Education and holds a post-graduate Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree. He taught several years in the United States before arriving in the U.A.E. in 2010. Glenn spent 10 years in Al Ain working for both ADEC and the M.O.E.
He has held multiple school leadership positions in the U.A.E. and Cambodia, progressing from Teacher, Head of Faculty, Academic Vice-Principal, to becoming the Lead Principal over a multi-campus school group. He returned to the U.A.E. in July 2020 where he assumed the role of Founding School Principal at Al Azm. He holds School Principal Certification from the United States and is currently completing his NPQSL studies. Glenn maintains a strong interest in student’s academic performance, pastoral care, assessment, and school data analysis.
