With over 15 years of experience in international education, Matt Christensen is a dedicated school leader recognised for driving improvement, developing leadership capacity, and fostering inclusive learning communities. Now in his twelfth year with Taaleem, he has held senior leadership roles across schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and currently leads Al Ahd Charter School. Before joining Taaleem, Matt built a successful career as a high-performance coach, working with elite athletes and national teams.

He holds an MBA in Educational Leadership from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Finland and has a strong record of leading transformation through data-driven improvement, staff development, and strategic organisational design. Passionate about the ethical use of emerging technologies, Matt ensures innovation enhances learning and wellbeing. His leadership philosophy centres on empowerment, integrity, and continuous improvement, with strong relationships and professional trust at the core of every successful school.
