For the past 20 years, Nicki has been working in international education and has taught and led in schools with various curricula including IB, UK, and US schools. Nicki has a Bachelor of Education, National Professional Qualification of Headship (NPQH) and an MA in Education. Prior to joining Taaleem, Nicki was Executive Principal with a reputable International school group where she was responsible for the project management of three new British schools in Abu Dhabi.
She is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has led school project management teams for the past 6 years. In addition to project management, Nicki has been the founding Principal of two schools and has been heavily involved in the design and building of several other schools.
As an educator, she has a passion for wellbeing and supporting mental health. She believes that happy, healthy, and inspired staff are key to any successful school. Her dissertation for her ‘MA in Educational Leadership and Management’ was based on an action research project involving a volunteer group of staff that she trained in mindfulness. Fostering positive mental health, encouraging wise lifestyle choices and proactive support from management have always been at the forefront of her leadership philosophy.
She is trained as a school evaluator with BSME, NEASC, Cognia (formerly AdvancED) and recently completed CIS training.
