Nicola Neethling brings a wealth of international experience and a deep-rooted commitment to student-centered leadership to her role as Director of Taaleem Charter Schools. Holding a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from Canterbury University, New Zealand, Nicola has taught and led in schools delivering the New Zealand, Australian, UK, IB, and American curricula across multiple countries.
Nicola previously served as Principal of Raha International School, where she founded the Raha Khalifa City Campus in 2020. Under her leadership, the campus grew rapidly, reaching an enrolment of 1,700 students. She built a thriving IB World School centred on a culture of inquiry, academic rigour, and holistic development, creating a community where students felt valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their potential.
With over a decade of living in the UAE, Nicola has developed a deep understanding of the local educational landscape and the UAE School Inspection Framework. She has successfully led school improvement across both private and charter schools, leveraging her international expertise while aligning closely with national priorities.
