Richard has 30 years of experience in education and has held several senior leadership roles in schools in the UK, Australia and in the UAE. 

He has worked for Taaleem for eleven years, initially in Abu Dhabi, focusing in school improvement and professional development for Teaching and Learning, and latterly within the Senior Leadership team at three of Taaleem’s K-12 schools in Dubai. He commenced the principalship at Jumeira Baccalaureate School, a Taaleem school in August 2015. 

He graduated with bachelor’s degree in Education in 1989 and holds a master’s degree in Sports Science. He has completed numerous leadership programs including NPQH qualification. He is now a facilitator for the NPQHML & NPQHSL courses as well as the Investors in Excellence Leadership Program from the Pacific Institute. 

Richard is a keen sportsman and continues to have an interest in participating and following a wide variety of sports. He also enjoys music and can occasionally be found in the school orchestra playing clarinet.
