Sharon graduated from Glasgow University in Scotland, UK with a Bachelor of Education (Hons) in 2001. She taught for seven years in a school for children with additional needs, completing her postgraduate certificate in ‘Additional Support Needs’ during this time.
Sharon moved to Dubai in 2008 and held leadership positions for ten of these years, leading whole departments and core subject areas across Early Years and Primary.
During Sharon’s seven years with Taaleem, she served as the Head of Foundation Stage at Dubai British School, which is rated by British Schools Overseas and the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau as ‘Outstanding’, before taking over as the Principal of Dubai British Foundation, an Early Years specialist setting in 2017 which was recently rated as ‘Outstanding’ by British Schools Overseas. In 2020, Sharon completed her Masters qualification in Educational Leadership and Management.
In November 2019, Sharon moved to Al Nayfa KG in Abu Dhabi as the Principal and looks forward to transforming the school into a centre of excellence for Early Years provision as part of the exciting Charter Schools project.
