Tom Cooper started his teaching career in the UK and spent several years honing his skills as an educator, cultivating an environment where students could thrive academically and emotionally. He taught in both the UK and the UAE – in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Driven by a desire to make a broader impact and influence positive change, he transitioned into school leadership roles. He had the privilege of serving as Vice Principal at Al Watan School for three years, where he worked alongside a highly motivated team, fostering collaboration, and implementing innovative educational practices.
In pursuit of new challenges and opportunities to effect meaningful change, he embraced the role of Principal at Al Ahd School. During his tenure, he spearheaded initiatives that focused on creating a nurturing environment conducive to both academic achievement and personal growth. He has now returned to Al Watan school as their Principal and continues to focus on progressing teaching and learning whilst also having a keen interest in developing greater sustainability for the school and community.
